Hi! I’m Aimee.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate in Colorado (LPCC.0022466), practicing under the supervision of Hester Campbell (LPC.0016795).

Many of my clients come to therapy because they’re feeling stuck in some way. This often happens when the strategies they’ve been using to cope with their pain and anxiety are no longer working as well as they used to. That can be a sign that it’s time to address the underlying causes of the pain.

I meet my clients with non-judgmental curiosity about their lives and their stories. I offer empathy and compassion as we explore the internalized beliefs that shape the way they make meaning of their experiences and of themselves. I work with my clients to cultivate a sense of self-understanding of all the different parts of themselves, and help them feel empowered to make choices that align with the life they want to live.

My approach is collaborative, meaning I believe that you are the expert of your own experience, and I am here to guide and support you through the process of self-discovery and growth. I take into account the way that trauma history and attachment concerns can influence the way we see ourselves and the way we connect with others. Whether you’re navigating past trauma, experiencing difficulties in relationships, struggling with anxiety, or simply seeking a deeper understanding of yourself, I’m here to help you move toward healing and personal transformation.

I use a variety of tools and interventions to help clients intimately know and care for themselves and better cope with life’s challenges. This includes practical strategies that you can use right away to help you experience some relief as we move deeper into the therapeutic work.

I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for the treatment of trauma, and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for the treatment of OCD. I also incorporate elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) in my work with clients.

Take your next step toward healing.

Finding the right therapist is an important element of your healing journey, and taking that first step can feel daunting. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation for us to connect, learn more about each other, and see how it might feel to work together.
